ARB: PA's Newest Scenic Byway!
We are thrilled to announce that Allegheny River Boulevard (ARB) has officially been designated a Pennsylvania Scenic Byway!
This designation is the culmination of a collaborative effort that began with a nomination through Scenic Pittsburgh, a subsidiary of Scenic America, and was sponsored by State Representative Joe McAndrew in April 2024. From the very beginning, all four municipalities along the boulevard—the City of Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Verona, and Oakmont—have enthusiastically supported the effort. With the addition of Allegheny River Boulevard, Pennsylvania now has 25 designated scenic byways.
